Have you always wanted to sit at the front desk of a major corporation? Do you have a knack for giving directions? If so, consider working in the Admin Office as a Festival Ambassador where you’ll be answering any and all manner of festival questions and helping our patrons navigate the festival grounds.
Are you a jack-of-all trades, wearer-of-many-hats, or just enjoy trying your hand at different roles? If so, consider working with the team of Alternates where you’ll get to work all over the festival, pitching in wherever help is needed. You’ll also get to spend some quality time in the Volunteer Village, working on your tan.
Do you enjoy lending a helping hand to those in need? Are you passionate about providing the same great festival experience to everyone, regardless of disability or limitation? If so, consider working with the A-Team to assist those in need of a little extra help. *These positions require a separate interview.
Do you love working behind the scenes, making sure things run like clockwork? Are you passionate about making the artists’ experience just as great as your own? If so, consider working with the backstage services team in a variety of roles including runner, launderer, and accreditation, where you’ll get to be a part of the excitement behind the scenes. *This team requires a separate interview as new volunteers assigned to this team are generally hand-picked by the leader to meet specialized demands.
Do you love being out and about in the festival, interacting with people and enjoying the weather, all while supporting a great cause? If so, Bead Tent may be the role for you! You’ll get to traverse the festival grounds while selling our limited-edition Mardi Gras beads, which support our Blues In The Schools charity.
Beer Tent (Molson.)
Do you want to be part of one of RBC Bluesfest’s largest operations, slingin’ suds and other cool refreshments for our thirsty patrons? If you’re 18 years of age or older and are full of energy, then join the Beer Tent team and help us keep everyone hydrated and having fun!
Do you have a boundless passion for bicycles? Do you enjoy working in the great outdoors? If so, the Bike Park wants your enthusiasm and your organizational skills to help us run our valet bike parking service. The service is free and any donations go straight to the Citizens for Safe Cycling (CfSC) organization. Now that’s something to ride home about!
Cashiers & ID’ers
Do you have laser-quick ID-scanning eyes and a dead-on ability to count to 100? If you’re 18 years of age or older, join the team of Cashiers & ID’ers to ensure our festival-goers get their tasty adult beverages in a quick and orderly manner.
Casino Lac-Leamy Suites
Do you have exceptional customer service skills and would like to be part of our premium festival experience? If you’re 18 years of age of older, join the Casino Lac-Leamy Suites team as a host or server, and help provide a memorable experience for our VIP guests in the heart of the festival.
Clubhouse (Empire Grill)
Are you a social butterfly or experienced server looking to be up-close to the music while providing beverage service to our distinguished guests? If you’re 18 years of age or older, join the Clubhouse team where you’ll be setting up, serving, stocking, and smiling stage-side.
Our Fundraising team has a real passion for raising money for our Blues In The Schools charity. They help with merchandise signings and playing host to ‘the best seats in the house’. * This team is full. Volunteers assigned to this team are hand-picked by the leader to meet specialized demands.
Gates (Ottawa Citizen)
Are you a leader? Would you like to be on the frontlines of the RBC Bluesfest experience? If so, join our Gates team and work as a gate monitor, or a road monitor and welcome our guests into this great festival!
Gold Circle (Metropolitain)
Do you have great customer service and would like to be part of our premium festival experience? If you’re 18 years of age of older, join the Gold Circle team and help provide a distinguished experience for our guests, all while being part of the action next to the main stage.
Are you passionate about the environment? Does it make you feel good to be part of a recycle or composting initiative? If so, join our energetic Green Team and assist with RBC Bluesfest’s greening initiatives to keep the festival clean and the people breathing easy.
Do you love the mystical powers of the guitar? Are you passionate about raising money for a great cause? If so, join our Guitar Raffle team where you’ll be promoting our special artist-autographed guitar raffle while raising money for our Blues In The Schools charity.
Do you have an answer for everything? Do you want to be a RBC Bluesfest guru? If so, join our Info Booth team and help our festival-goers with any and all of their questions, quandaries, comments, and concerns.
Do you have a mind like a steel trap? Are you efficient and punctual? If you’re 18 years of age or older, join our Inventory Control team and help keep RBC Bluesfest running in tip top shape by managing and delivering supplies.
Do you love costumes and dressing up? Do you want to be the face of RBC Bluesfest? If you’re 18 years of age or older (and between 5’5” and 5’9”), sign up to be our Mascot and get to engage fans, pose for pictures, and embody the spirit of ‘Leadbelly’ at RBC Bluesfest.
Do you own hundreds of band t-shirts? Do you have posters all over the walls and ceiling of your room? Do you just plain love band merch? If so, work in our Merch Tent where you can bring your passion to the fans and sell this year’s amazing crop of RBC Bluesfest and Artist merchandise.
Outdoor Blues Café
Do you want to improve the lives and experiences of our massive volunteer team? Do you have a passion for food and serving? If so, join the Outdoor Blues Café team where you’ll be working in the Volunteer Village serving our hungry volunteers or helping at the Algonquin College campus preparing the meals.
Are you a budding artist or DIY guru? Do you revel in using power tools or a paintbrush? If you’re 18 years of age or older, you can help our pageantry team Décor Assistants bring the RBC Bluesfest stages to life. *New volunteers assigned to this team are generally hand-picked by the leader to meet specialized demands.
Do you have a keen eye for photography? Do you spend more time on Instagram than you would like to admit? If you’re 18 years of age or older and have your own camera, join our Photo Team and capture epic festival moments, fantastic fans, and -most importantly- our great volunteers with your lens. *These positions require a separate interview along with a portfolio submission.
Do you think beer and festivals go together like peanut butter and jelly? If you’re 18 years of age or older, join the Rickard’s Pub team where you’ll be working in the heart of the festival serving and selling some fine suds from the Molson Brewery to our thirsty customers.
Do auctions thrill you? Do you have a real passion for fundraising and helping support a great cause? If you’re 18 years of age or older, join the Silent Auction team where you’ll get to help set up the auction displays, drum up bidders, and help with the bidding, all while raising money for our Blues In The Schools charity.
Do you have a passion for building? Do you stand proudly for a job well done? If so, join our Stage Crew team where you’ll be on the front lines of the festival setting up and tearing down the stages and moving and loading equipment. *These positions require a separate interview.
Does your mouth water for merlot? Do your ears perk up at the word “pinot”? If you’re 18 years of age or older, join The Winery team and help with stocking, serving, and selling the finest reds, whites, and rosés RBC Bluesfest has to offer at locations across the festival.
Do you have aspirations of being an A-list chauffeur? Do you have impeccable and humble customer service skills and a cursory knowledge of the city? If you’re 25 years of age or over and have a class G license, the Transportation team needs your help to pick-up and drop-off artists and staff. *This team requires a separate interview as new volunteers assigned to this team are generally hand-picked by the leader to meet specialized demands.
Are you a great greeter and a champion for the volunteers? If you’re 18 years of age or older, join the team in the Volunteer Trailer and make sure our RBC Bluesfest volunteers get hooked up with everything they need to succeed at the festival.
Volunteer Welcome Centre
Are you super-organized and highly helpful? If you’re 18 years of age or older, join the Volunteer Welcome Centre team and help run the central hub for all things volunteer. Provide information, answer questions, take bags, and our volunteers are sure to succeed.
